First Outdoor Ride for 2011 (Video)
It was cold out there today. But outdoors we did ride.
Tim, Abdu, Tina and I did the paved road 20.5 route around Stony Creek Metro Park.
Pet Benson and his mountain bike bunch did a 30 miler on gravel roads.
The starting temp this morning was 30 degrees. But no one complained and by the end of the ride, the cold wasn’t a factor. Then again, we were pretty bundled up, as you can see in the video below.
I’m cross posting this on my other biking site… http://michiganbiking.org
That’s a pretty cool domain and I snapped it up. I’ll post a complete ride calendar there as well as lots of articles on Michigan’s key events.
I’ll keep this site devoted to Saturday rides and training for the Michigander.
And the other two sites on my biking blog network… http://bikefitness.net and http://spinningforfitness.com… will deal with fitness and training.

Awesome! I’ve been dragging my feet this year so far but you have inspired me! Does it seem like the warm weather is taking a little long this year? I too train at Stoney Creek mainly for the rides like ABBTS.ORG’s OHR (one helluva ride) and Armada’s Peach of a ride, etc, Did the DALMAC in ’92 and ’93 but no multi-day rides since, though you got me thinking about trying the Michigander! Keep up the great work! Thanks for posting this video!
Are you riding outdoors on April 09, Saturday?
Yup… will leave at 8:30AM Saturday… boat launch parking lot at Stony Creek… weather permiitting, of course
