About

Welcome to the Michigander Bike Tour Blog.

I’m Mike Wendland and the annual Michigander Bicycle Tour is a highlight of my year and has been since 2003, when I discovered the joy of long-distance cycling.

This blog is my effort to chronicle the excitement and adventure of long-distance biking and to share training tips and news about biking in Michigan. It is a personal blog and not officially connected in anyway with the Michigan Trails and Greenways Association, the awesome organization that organizes and runs the Michigander bike tour.

And you don’t have to be training for the Michigander to use this site or join us for the Saturday training rides. I also welcome your pictures and posts. If you are from a bike club or are sponsoring a ride, let us know and we’ll be happy to give you some publicity here. We’re all about biking in Michigan.

Let me know if I can answer any questions or help in any way. You can reach me at http://michiganderbiketour.com/contact

I invite you to join us for one of our Saturday morning training rides. Just click here to find the details on the next one. Use comments under that posting to ask questions or let us know you’re coming.
